Sure, you can get a tune but I didn’t want to go that route. Having to reach so far into the pedal to get some acceleration gives the sensation of no power.
The transmission has even learned the quicker throttle input and seems to shift better too. The throttle curve can almost be infinitely adjusted and I am very happy with how the truck performs now. I drive a lot of very hilly terrain and it was annoying to keep pressing the gas more, and more, and more to finally get a downshift to climb a hill. The first 1/4-1/2 inch of throttle travel is similar to stock, but part throttle response is vastly improved.
I installed this and ended up with level 8 in the city mode as my preferred setting. It doesn’t add power (as we all know) it changes the throttle response. First off, everyone bitching about these truck being underpowered would benefit from this.
